Gaydar alert! Battle on for Mayoral gay vote

Ken Livingstone. Boris Johnson. And Brian Paddick. How come the StyledLife gaydar's twitching so uncontrollably?! We know Paddick's out. But Boris and Ken? Covert queens? We're positively twittering with excitement.

Alas no. The mayoral candidates have simply been tweaking their own gaydars of late - and have come to the conclusion they'll never win the London Mayoral campaign on May 1st -  without some serious pink pound schmoozing.

A vipers nest for Boris Johnson. 'Norman Tebbitt in a clowns uniform' (Compass) has never been shy of a huffy puffy anti gay rant in his time. And now he's suddenly giddy at the mention of all things pink! Ken's already taken a swipe re Boris's shameless backtracking - and Paddick must be barely able to stomach 5 minutes with the repellent little Tory.

But stomach him they will. All candidates will take part in a husting at the BFA Southbank on April 19th - answering questions from the gay and lesbian community. And StyledLife simply cannot wait to get down there and see what Boris pulls out of the bag. A nice Kylie rendition? Or a strenuous, pumping Take That routine? Either of those should bag you the gay vote Bore!
