'You fu*kin useless tw*t!' Sound familiar? To us maybe, but Gordon Ramsay's continual effing and blinding has caused blind fury to some viewers Down Under.Australians are currently enjoying a double helping of Gordon's legendary rants via Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares and Hells Kitchen - both of which are screened at 8.30pm and 9.30pm on national TV.
But the Catholic Church of Australia think it's disgraceful that Gordy gets to curse like a fishwife throughout his shows, when there could be people tuned in who are offended by such foul language. Like parent associations - and vigilant church groups.
The Federation of Parents and Citizens Association have cited an episode of Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares in which Gord serves up the F word over 80 times in 40 minutes, and even calls one of the bumbling chefs, 'You French pig'. Good going even by Ramsian standards.
If you don't like it - switch over, say the Council for Civil Liberties in New South Wales. The Civil Lib Council like to enjoy a wide range of programming using all manner of colourful expression and think the church should stop sticking their beak into something which is above all - pretty entertaining.
And we would have to agree.
