Good Food Guide indicates top cuisine moves out of town13:39 Wed 26 September 2007 The latest edition of the Good Food Guide is out. Even if it's not your regular gastronomic style bible, its findings this year are worth taking note of. An amazing three quarters of its top 40 restaurants are outside of London, so if you're in the mood for something special it's worthwhile checking out of town.A regular appearance for many critics hits the number one spot - The Fat Duck in Bray. Chef, Heston Blumenthal (known for his unconventional cooking and book In Search of Perfection) is credited with “white-hot gastronomic alchemy”. Great accolade. For the first time this year, the Good Food Guide has also seen fit to include ten regional awards which were voted for by 30,000 readers. A spokesperson for the new guide highlighted that the new inclusion reflected an overall increase in regional restaurant quality, along with a growing interest in ingredients that are sourced from a local area.
