Gordon Ramsay gets two Michelin stars in New York

Good news for Gordon. After a somewhat turbulent start to his adventures on the other side of the pond (with lawsuits and bad reviews from the New York Times just two setbacks), he can finally rest easy that his culinary genius is being recognised in Manhattan. Even if it is by the French and not the natives.

His flagship New York restaurant, The London, has just been slapped with two prestigious Michelin stars for its consistent and high quality fayre. Rumour has it that he'll be making a celebrity appearance to cook for the Dutchess of York soon, which should satisfy the complaints that he's never around town.

Back on UK shores, here are the current top 10 eateries according to the latest Good Food Guide.

Well done the OBE-bestowed celebrity Scottish gourmet grandmaster.
