Now I ain't sayin' you're a gold digger...10:39 Fri 02 November 2007 According to a story in the Times Online, a young lady has posted an ad on the classified web site Craigslist thus:"“I’m a beautiful (spectacularly beautiful) 25-year-old. I’m articulate and classy. I’m not from New York. I’m looking to get married to a guy who makes at least half a million a year. I know how that sounds, but keep in mind that a million a year is middle-class in New York City, so I don’t think I’m overreaching at all.”" The story has sparked something of a debate, as you would imagine, about gold diggers both sides of the pond. The best response from a man to the ad was by far the very witty: "Your looks will fade and my money will likely continue in perpetuity . . . So in economic terms, you are a depreciating asset. In Wall Street terms, we would call you a trading position, not a buy and hold." Fantastic! In case you're wondering where to head online if you're interested in catching yourself a sugar daddy, we recommend any gold digger hopefuls check out Millionairematch.com and the aptly titled Sugardaddie.com. Either that or seek advice from Heather Mills... (Image from TheeErin's Flickr stream) On the web |
